Animation storyboards are a LOT of fun to draw ! Storytelling in films is very visual and animation does well in this regard . Because character acting can be so much broader than in Live Action filming the real successes in animation come from shows that take proper advantage of the medium .

Storyboarding is the closest thing to film-directing for an artist and it takes a real expert to truly exploit the different advantages in CG / stop-motion / Flash anim / hand drawn classical series vs feature animation and Live Action .
